Best of Kenya wildlife lodge safari sampling the most
famous game parks and sceneries. A combination of
wildlife, bird watching and sceneries of Kenya the land
of beauty. A safari to the beautiful Samburu Savanna,
the Lake Nakuru bird sanctuary, Maasai Mara for the big
5 and the annual wilder beast migration to the foot
hills of Mt. Kilimanjaro- Amboseli and finally to Tsavo
national parks where you find big herds of Elephants and
breath taking sceneries.
DAY 1: NAIROBI / SAMBURU GAME RESERVE
Pick up from your hotel at 0730 hrs. and depart for the
dramatic semi-arid scrub land of the Northern Frontier.
Arrival in Samburu will be by lunch time. After lunch
embark on a game drive to sight resident wildlife
species like the Reticulated Giraffe, Grevy's Zebra,
Beisa Oryx and the Blue-necked Somali Ostrich that are
rare elsewhere in the country. Dinner and overnight will
be at the spectacular lodge or tented camp.
DAY 2: SAMBURU GAME RESERVE
Today you will spend the full day in the Samburu
National Park. You will have early morning and evening
game drives. All your meals and overnight will be at
your lodge / tented camp.
DAY 3: SAMBURU - ABERDARES NATIONAL PARK
Break fast then proceed to Aberdares national park.
Lunch at the base hotel before being transferred to the
Tree hotel for overnight stay. A special feature of the
lodge where we stay is the floodlit watering hole where
we can watch from the lodge itself throughout the night
as a great variety of animals come down to drink.
DAY 4 : ABERDARES - LAKE NAKURU NATIONAL PARK
Depart Aberdares soon after breakfast and proceed south
to lake Nakuru, which is often referred to as the pink
lake for its great masses of pink flamingos. Arrive in
time for lunch. Afternoon gamedrives followed by dinner
and overnight stay at a Lodge inside the park.
Lake Nakuru's claim to fame is anchored on its
flamingo's and the over 400 species of birds found here.
The lake itself is a soda lake on the floor of the rift
valley. The sight of the at times millions of flamingos
is quite spectacular. From a distance the lake appears
ringed in pink. The Lake has also earned a reputation as
an important haven for endangered species- particularly
the Rothschild Giraffe and the black and white rhino.
Lions, waterbuck, buffalo and baboons are all residents
here.
DAY 5: LAKE NAKURU- MAASAI MARA
Breakfast then view game as we exit the park and drive
to via the Great Rift Valley to arrive at Maasai Mara in
time for lunch at a Lodge. Full afternoon game drive
till dusk when we return to the lodge for dinner and
overnight stay.
DAY 6/7 MAASAI MARA GAME RESERVE
Full days exploring the park in search of the big
5.Early morning and late afternoon gamedrives are
offered. Dinner and overnight stay at a lodge.
The Mara offers wildlife in such variety and abundance
that it is difficult to believe: over 450 species of
animals have been recorded here. You will easily see
lions, rhinos, hippos, crocodiles, giraffe, wildebeests,
zebras, buffalo, warthogs, hyenas, jackals, wild dogs,
buffalo, leopard, many kinds of antelopes and elephant.
It is in the Mara that perhaps the most spectacular
event of the natural world takes place. This is the
annual migration of millions of wildebeest and zebra
from the Serengeti (Tanzania) in search of water and
pasture. Following on their heels are the predators of
the savanna- lion, cheetah, wild dog, jackal, hyena and
vultures
DAY 8 / MASAI MARA / LAKE NAIVASHA
After breakfast descend down towards the Great Rift
Valley. Arrival at Lake Naivasha will be in time for a
delicious lunch at the Lake Naivasha Country Club or
similar. The remainder of the afternoon will be at your
leisure, with the opportunity of going on a nature walk,
hiring a boat to take you the famous Crescent Island, or
simply relaxing by the swimming pool. Dinner and
overnight at the Club/ lodge
DAY 9: LAKE NAIVASHA - AMBOSELI
After breakfast, drive past the scenic Athi Plains and
into the bushy country of Amboseli National Park - a
landscape dominated by the spectacular snowcaps of Mount
Kilimanjaro. Arrival will be in time for lunch at your
chosen lodge / tented camp. After lunch and a few hours
of rest, embark on a game drive at the foot of Africa's
highest mountain. Dinner and overnight will be at the
lodge / camp.
DAY 10: AMBOSELI NATIONAL PARK
Today you will spend the full day in Amboseli with early
morning and evening game drives. Whilst in the park, you
will have the opportunity to photograph the animals
against the wonderful backdrop of Mount Kilimanjaro. All
meals
and overnight will be at your lodge / tented camp.
DAY 11: AMBOSELI ? TSAVO WEST NATIONAL PARK
After an early breakfast depart for Tsavo West National
Park which lies roughly half way between Nairobi and the
Coast. Mzima Springs, the chief marvel here is a
favorite haunt of hippos and crocodiles. Arrival at your
lodge / tented camp will be in time for lunch. An early
evening game drive to see large herds of elephants,
buffalo, common waterbuck, eland, rhino and a wide
variety of antelope. Return to the lodge for dinner and
overnight.
DAY 12: TSAVO WEST ? TSAVO EAST NATIONAL PARK
We depart the lodge soon after breakfast and proceed to
Tsavo East National park. Game is viewed as we exit the
park . This park was famed for its large herds of
elephant covered in red dust and fine scenery. We visit
the scenic Lugards Falls, Mudanda Rocks (attracts
elephants in the drier season) and Aruba Dam as we view
game if time permits. Dinner and overnight stay at a
lodge
DAY 13 : TSAVO EAST NATIONAL PARK
Full day spent exploring the park. Morning and afternoon
gamedrives are offered. Dinner and overnight stay at a
Lodge.
The landscape in Tsavo East is flatter and drier,
despite having one of Kenya?s largest rivers flowing
through the middle. Much of the wildlife is concentrated
on the Galana River, which has plentiful crocs and
hippos. Likewise, Kudus, waterbucks and dik-diks are
common along the river banks.
DAY 14: TSAVO EAST ? NAIROBI
After a leisurely breakfast, return to Nairobi where the
safari ends. Safari price Includes:
